في ذلك اليوم، خرجت العائلة بحثاً عن فرحة بسيطة لأطفالها مع اقتراب العيد، قبل أن تتحول الرحلة إلى مأساة قاسية، إثر تعرض مركبتهم لإطلاق نار كثيف من قبل قوات الاحتلال، ما أدى إلى استشهاد الأب علي بني عودة، الأم وعد بني عودة، وابنيهما عثمان ومحمد، فيما نجا الطفلان خالد ومصطفى اللذان شاهدا لحظات تفوق قدرة أي إنسان على الاحتمال.
ورغم مرور الأيام، ما زالت تفاصيل تلك اللحظة حيّة في الذاكرة، حيث روى الطفل خالد ما حدث قائلاً أنّه فجأة بدأ إطلاق النار، وأنّ جميع من كانوا في السيارة استشهدوا، ولم يبقَ سوى هو وأخوه مصطفى.
لقد شكّلت هذه الفاجعة صدمة جماعية لأهالي بلدة طمون، حيث خرجت البلدة بأكملها في وداع عائلة كاملة، في مشهد جسّد وحدة الألم وعمق الخسارة التي لم تقتصر على عائلة واحدة، بل مست المجتمع بأسره.
واليوم، وبعد أسبوع على هذه الفاجعة، لا يزال الحزن حاضراً، لكن إلى جانبه يبرز التماسك المجتمعي، والتفاف الأهالي حول بعضهم البعض، خاصة في دعم الطفلين الناجين والتخفيف من آثار هذه التجربة القاسية.

Bani Odeh Family Tragedy: A Memory of Pain and Unity in Resilience
A week after the martyrdom of Father Ali Bani Odeh, his wife Waad, and their children Othman and Muhammad, the entire town continues to carry the shock of this tragedy, standing in solidarity with the surviving children, Khalid and Mustafa.
In the town of Tammun, the effects of this crime remain present in the consciousness of the residents and in the details of daily life.
On that day, the family went out seeking a simple joy for their children with the approach of Eid, before the outing turned into a harsh tragedy, as their vehicle came under heavy gunfire by the occupation forces. This attack led to the martyrdom of father Ali Bani Odeh, Mother Waad Bani Odeh, and their sons Othman and Muhammad, while the two children, Khalid and Mustafa, survived, witnessing moments beyond what any human could bear.
Even after several days, the details of that moment remain vivid in memory, as Khalid recounted what happened, saying that suddenly the shooting began and everyone in the car was killed, leaving only him and his brother Mustafa.
This tragedy represented a collective shock for the people of Tammun, as the entire town came out to bid farewell to an entire family, in a scene that reflected the unity of grief and the depth of the loss, which affected not just one family but the whole community.
Today, a week after this tragedy, sadness remains, but alongside it emerges community cohesion, with residents rallying around each other, especially in supporting the surviving children and easing the impact of this harsh experience.
Tammun Municipality commemorates this painful tragedy, affirms its support for all residents, particularly affected families, and calls for strengthening the spirit of solidarity and mutual aid under these difficult circumstances.
Tammun, despite the pain, will remain united through its people, holding on to life, preserving the memory of its departed children, and keeping hope alive.
